We now use a composite resin that matches your tooth color and blends in seamlessly with your smile. What’s more, using a composite resin filling allows us to preserve more of the natural tooth. Some patients opt to enhance their smile by replacing amalgam restorations with modern composite fillings.
Treatment
A dental filling can be completed in under an hour. After cleaning out the decay, the doctor fills the area with the resin. The resin replaces the damage and actually reinforces and strengthens the tooth. After curing the filling, the doctor makes any final adjustments to ensure the filling looks great and feels comfortable.
